Due to the various backgrounds of the animals at T&D’s and our belief that animals should not be exploited, our facility is only scheduled open for visitors to enjoy and learn about the animals approximately 70 days a year. We also realize that education is important and therefore, we also open for groups during the week during the late spring and summer seasons.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU VISIT T&D’S
You will be walking on a gravel/grass path throughout a mostly wooded area.  There are no hills and several benches located along the path for your use.  We also have a picnic area that you are welcome to use.  We sell cold drinks and ice cream in Howls and Growls, our gift shop.  So…bring a lunch, use the picnic area, and RELAX!  Closed toe walking shoes (sneakers) are preferred.  Wheelchairs will work with a little effort.  Electric wheelchairs are best.  (Sorry, we do not have any wheelchairs to use.)

For your safety, we will not open during thunderstorms nor do we allow umbrellas.

In order to insure the safety of these rescued animals, we expect all visitors to follow these rules:
No Running (walking feet only).
No Climbing on gates or fences.
No Teasing the animals (which includes making noises – no growling, barking, whistling, etc.).
No Throwing things at the animals or their enclosures.
No Smoking (smoking in the parking lot is allowed).
No Umbrellas (some of the animals are afraid of them).
No Pets allowed.

CLOSED OCTOBER* THROUGH APRIL

*OCTOBER 21 OPEN NOON – 3:00, T&D’S TREK ‘N TREAT

2023 ADMISSION: As you are well aware, everything that you have purchased in the past few years has increased.  These increases in prices have also affected what we purchase to care for the animals.  For example, one bag of primate food has doubled in price this past year.  T&D’s is run by volunteers, which means we do not have the added expense of paying staff.  Since we do not have to pay a staff and prices were stable, we were able to keep our admission price very reasonable for many years.   As other prices were changing we were hoping to keep our admission price the same in hopes that this would increase the number of visitors or possibly encourage people to visit T&D’s more than once a summer.  We were also hoping that donations would have increased or at least stayed the same.  Unfortunately there wasn’t enough of a difference to off set the increases in other costs.  For the first time in over 10 years, we need to increase our admission rates.

2023 ADMISSION: Ages 13 and over – $15.00   Ages 3 –  12 – $10.00   Ages 2 and under – Free
