Our Pet Expos are designed to educate and
entertain the public about the wonderful world of pets. They are family oriented
events featuring many educational demonstrations and seminars, hands-on-petting
opportunities, special attractions, pet adoptions, and entertaining exhibits.
Our Pet Expos also make available an outstanding shopping venue of products and
services pertaining to pets and children.

Enrichment Weekend - June 7 & 8
During Enrichment Day, the animals will be having fun! Environmental or behavioral enrichment is achieved by adding to a captive animal's environment or by modifying that environment to stimulate behaviors resembling those of a healthy wild animal. Enrichment is intended to encourage behaviors that are appropriate for the species and that satisfy and animal's physical and psychological needs (www.aazk.org). Come and see the joys of animal enrichment! Event is free with your
admission to T&D's.
T&D's Animal Encounters
- June & July
T&D's Animal Encounters are weekly camps for boys and girls ages 10-14.
Camps will run Monday through Thursday from 9:00am - noon and are limited to 10
campers each week. This year we are offering two camps "Keeper for a Week
- Beginner" and "Keeper for a Week - Intermediate". Daily activities revolve around the
responsibilities of what it is like to take care of wild animals! Games,
crafts, learning and a little work will make this camp a lot of fun.
Wild Adventure in the Valley - July 26 & 27
T&D's Cats of the World,
Canoe Susquehanna,
Seven Mountains Audubon, and
Appalachia Spring Ranch have a "wild two day adventure"
planned for you. Visit T&D's Cats of the World to view over 200 rescued wild
animals, including lions, tigers, and yes, bears, Oh my! Take advantage of
what our beautiful valley has to offer! Kayak on the river with Canoe
Susquehanna, hike with an experienced birder from Seven Mountains Audubon, and
horseback ride near Jack's Mountain with Appalachia Spring Ranch. Several local state parks
are nearby for hiking and biking - R.B.Winter State Park, Walker Lake & Tall Timbers and Montour Preserve. Please contact each
facility to see what fees apply.
Animal Rescue Awareness Weekend - August 16 & 17
Animal rescue organizations (dog, cat, horse, ferret, reptile and others) will be located throughout T&D's Cats of the World for you to learn about what they do.
Agility and obedience demonstrations.
Educational presentations.
Reptile Rainforest Shows August 16 & 17.
Event is free with admission to T&D's.
Please contact T&D's if you know of an organization that would like to be
involved with this event.
POWERFUL PAWS - September ?
We are busy working on a new tiger area, approximately 2 acres in size.
There will be three new tiger enclosures in that 2 acre area! Work will
continue throughout the summer with plans on opening the area to you in
September. "Powerful Paws" will be the grand opening event for this area.
Date to be announced at a later time.
Scout Weekend - October 18 & 19
Girl and Boy Scouts are invited to visit T&D's Cats of the World for scout weekend. Scouts will have a chance to work towards specific badges at several stations located throughout T&D's while enjoying the animals.

Pre registration required. Please call and include your name, troop number, arrival time and number
of scouts in group. Admission is $4.00 per scout. Plan for a 2 hour adventure. Last scheduled group at 4:00.
